The (Electrical) Scholarship will award one recipient the amount of $1,000.00. The Award amount will be paid directly to the recipient’s college institution or vocational school of the winner’s choice.
Applicant must be between the ages of 17 – 29 and looking to advance his or her knowledge in the Electrical Industry, through a college institution or vocational school.
Applicants must submit at least one-page double-spaced essay explaining why he/she should be chosen to be the recipient of the Tom Palk Scholarship. Include in your essay your future plans in the Electrical Industry.
Must be a U.S. Citizen and either be on track for graduation from an accredited High School, or have a High School Diploma, or GED. Must reside in Suffolk or Nassau County.
The submission should be mailed to SCECA c/o Tom Palk Scholarship, P.O. Box 696 Smithtown, NY. 11787 or email on a Word document or PDF to scecaelect@gmail.com. Must be postmarked no later than March 15, 2026. All submissions must include: Name, Address, Phone Number, Email Address, and proof of the above-mentioned requirements.

The final determination of the winner will be made April 2026. The winner will be notified by USPS mail or email. The winner must be present at our SCECA meeting on May 21st at 7 p.m.
The winner will be featured in our June edition of our Newsletter “The Light”.
