S.C.E.C.A. General Membership Meeting Minutes

There were approximately 24 members in attendance.  Those Officers and Board of Directors present were:  Rob Szalay, Rob Tschoke, Tom Orlando, Ralph Lambiase, Mahesh Panchal, John Ricciardi, and Michael Towers.

Excused: Dave Kennedy, Joe Mikulas, Jack Morrell and Mark Parris.

Called to Order:  8:00 p.m.

A motion to accept the General Meeting Minutes of 4/17/25 was made by Michael Towers and seconded by Tom Walsh.

**President’s Report:

Rob S. thanked everyone for coming.  He thanked all the members, U.I., inspectors, E.T.C. and everyone for supporting us.  This is a great event, and he feels honored to have been President this past year.  He wrote his farewell President’s report and hopes everyone will read it.  He will be working behind the scenes.  We have Rob Szalay, Mahesh, Tom, Dave and all our Board members working for us.  He will also be writing the safety articles again.

COMMITTEE REPORTS: 

Treasurer’s Report:  Tom Orlando

Tom O. reported he will give his report at the September general meeting.

 Secretary’s Report:  David Kennedy

Dave was not present.

PROGRAM:  Installation of Officers and Board for the 2025 – 2026 year.

Michael Towers swore in President Rob Szalay, VP Mahesh Panchal and Treasurer Tom Orlando.  Secretary Dave Kennedy and Board members Jack Morrell and Joe Mikulas were not present.  Member Steve Danielson took pictures for the “Light.”

Mike congratulated Rob Tschoke on the great job he has done as President.  He loves the initiative with the SCECA east meetings.  He loves his passion and drive.

Education/Seminars:  Rob Szalay, Mahesh Panchal, Ralph Lambiase

CEH Class June 14^th.

Good & Welfare: Joe Mikulas

Tom DiBella of PSEG reported Rich Inserra had surgery today and is doing well.

Membership/Plaques & Awards, Skills USA:  Robert Tschoke, Brian McAuliff, /Jack Morrell

Rob T. announced we are having a SCECA east meeting at the Lobster Roll in Southampton on June 3^rd at 5 pm.  Invite someone that is not a member if they work on the east end.  We need to get membership going on the east end.  There will be great food.  You can register at SCECA.com under Events – General Meeting.

Raffle:  

50/50 Raffle – $140 was won by Glen Ayasse.

A motion to adjourn the meeting at 8:20 p.m. was made by Michael Towers and seconded by Tom Orlando.
